I thought that we perhaps could have a little discussion about the idea.
So far the admin message where you could select YES or NO to the idea have shown that most seem to like the idea. But there is still a few that like it just the way it is.
Like I said I haven't worked out the details of how it would be done. All I know is that it should not effect that much.
Example.
Now you can click on 50 point ads and then you can redeem a 50 point ad. That would not change. The links would be low cash value but they would be the same as the convertion rate is today. So there will be no money lost that way either.

One reason for the no point would be that it could attract more members. And more members could lead to more advertisier and more advertisier leads to more money. And that leads to more payouts  Afro

I really would like to have a discussion about this because you might have an idea that I haven't thought of. And it would be nice if we all helped out to make whatcash even better an what it is today  Smiley

Please remember that you can say anything you like. I have never deleted anyone for not agreeing with me. Different opinions are a good thing, the world would be such a dull place if everyone thought the same.
So lets get our brains together to make What?Cash greater  Smiley

Hi,

I think there ought to be a compromise option, don't have point emails, but have a point PTC section, clearly marked so that if people want to have them they still can. The only reason I like points is that I tend to use them to upgrade with, I've done that in a couple of PTC programmes and I was thinking about it in WhatCash but then I noticed it was for a year only upgrade which really doesn't make it worth it, it takes over a year to get 5000 points so it's not very viable. Still some people like to have the flexibility and if you make it a point=>point system then cash advertisers would have no qualms about coming on board.

That was some good points.
Perhaps have points only for advertising.

It's the convertion to cash that make that I can't to stuff that I have thought of with points. For instance, the point upgrade.
When I thought up the upgrade, I was counting on what a very active member can earn every month. Then it would not take very long to get 5000 points. And since the points convertion to cash, I couldn't make it a life upgrade & I couldn't make it a super great upgrade with lots of ads. That would have put whatcash in trouble in the future.

It's not easy to make everyone happy & at the same time calculate what can be done and not.

I am still deciding, but I will go either way, I am wondering how will we will go about getting rid of the points, also I am a point upgrader with about 9 months left? By the way took all of 3 weeks of clicking everything I could find to click, had around 1000 when I started saving my points for the upgrade.
Just pondering how you will go about it.

I'll keep checking back. Cheesy I might have a brain storm  2funny

Of course you would keep your upgrade, it would just be cash ads instead of points. If we do it the way I first though off, meaning no points at all. But that is why I wanted a discussion so that all members can say what they think and add their own ideas.

What I was thinking at first was getting rid of all point and replace them with cash links that was worth exactly what 1 point was worth. So nothing would really change at all.

I am so bad at explaining things so perhaps that was not really understood how I meant. I am a bit wierd so it might not be easy to know what I mean all the time  idiot2

I just read  an interesting topic at gpf & here are some more thoughts  Smiley

# the cheap links ( & points ) only in PTC section ?

But that isn't really great either since emails get a lot more clicks than a PTC.

Would you start clicking more PTC's if there were a lot of them ?
The click contest plug in would be added to that page so there were a chance to win cash while you were clicking.

Mushy, the PTP plugin will probable never be added to What?Cash. I already think there are to many ptr's that have it. Sorry!

Here is my thought on the whole thing, POINTS RULE at What?Cash, anyone who thinks that cash is king around here needs their head examined!

Very few sites have better point redemption options, and with the sellnbuy plugin, you wouldn't have to manually convert points to cash, those of us with unwanted cash can buy the points from those that want cash. That is if they lay of the crack as I see at so many sites asking 40c+ per 1000 points.

Without points, I have no reason to be a member here as all I want are the redemptions for my points.  If we start seeing a ton of cheap links, and by cheap, anything under .05c is a cheap link, and no point, why bother, I can't take my .05c and buy 100 PTC's after I've clicked 100 links, and it would take forever and a day to reach payout, but I'm not interested in ever reaching payout, I want to click ads, and I want clicks in return, cash does me little to no good here, and anyone else for that matter, you take cash out here? Are you NUTS!!!  click 1000 ads, get 1000 clicks in return, used wisely, those 1000 clicks will turn into 50c someplace else, but we will have nothing to click if Jonna has to sell ads at 50c+ to pay us for cheap links.

Well, actually the more I have thought about it the more I think that everything should stay the same.

Although the majority (sp ?) wants the change there is still a lot of members that want it to stay the same.

And I don't think I would change unless about 90% was for it & that is not the case here.

I just joined whatcash a few days ago and the main reason was because of the points. The point ads give wonderful results and the redemptions are wonderful  smitten
Actually I hate those 0.001 cent links  Lips Sealed I would be really happy if it stays as it is.
